Codeshared flights will commence on 1st September 2010

The codeshare agreement, two Star Alliance carriers signed between, will enable both airlines to use each other's flight codes and the customers of Turkish Airlines and US Airways will soon enjoy greater travel options to Turkey and the United States. US Airways customers will have access to Istanbul via Turkish Airlines service from Frankfurt, Munich and Zurich, also may access to four new destinations in Turkey via Istanbul: Adana, Izmir, Antalya and Ankara. And finally, US Airways customers may have nonstop travel to Istanbul via Turkish Airlines service at New York and Chicago.

Conversely, Turkish Airlines customers gain access to Charlotte, Philadelphia and Phoenix via US Airways, flying from Frankfurt, Munich, Zurich, Chicago and New York.

Hatfield, UK - Peruvian airline, Aerolineas Star Peru has acquired two BAe 146-200 regional jetliners from BAE Systems to add to its existing fleet of five of the aircraft that it currently operates on a busy domestic schedule. Both aircraft have been delivered.

Based in the capital Lima, Star Peru was founded in 1997 as a charter operator providing air services into remote jungle airstrips to support oil exploration companies.

The airline commenced scheduled airline services in late 2004. Since then it has added five BAe 146s (two Series 100s, one Series 200 and two Series 300s) to build up a domestic network that embraces services from Lima to eight cities and now accounts for some 14 percent of the Peruvian market.

Over 230 BAe 146/Avro RJ are in service with 60 operators in over 30 countries worldwide.

ANA First To Take Delivery of 787

PHOENIX -- Honeywell (NYSE: HON) today announced that it has signed a 10-year integrated service agreement for support of ANA's 50 Boeing 787 aircraft. ANA will be the first to take delivery of Boeing's newest aircraft, the 787 Dreamliner.

Honeywell will provide access to spares, logistics and repair services for the Honeywell equipment installed on the B787 aircraft. Honeywell provides multiple products to the B787 aircraft, including flight control electronics, navigation radios, crew information system and interior and exterior lighting.

'ANA benefits from a single integrated program with one agreement and predictable monthly payments to provide global asset availability for the entire suite of Honeywell products on the B787,' said Pak Chin, Honeywell Aerospace Vice President of Airlines, Asia Pacific. The first ever National Trust centre and shop for the outdoors has opened in Cheddar Gorge in Somerset, providing visitors with information to help them explore the surrounding Somerset countryside.

With not a tea towel or wooden duck in sight, visitors will be able to buy from a new outdoors product range, including walking socks and Ordnance Survey maps, in what will be a major change to the usual National Trust shopping experience.

More than half-a-million people a year take a day out in Somersetand visit Cheddar Gorge, part of the reason why this location was chosen as the first centre of its type to highlight the work of the National Trust in the outdoors.

Andy Mayled, National Trust General Manager for the Somerset Countryside, said: "We won't be selling the tea towels and lavender bags that you'd normally expect to find in a Trust shop.

"Our work in Cheddar Gorge is all about giving people access to the open countryside and this shop will sell the things needed to help people get out into the great outdoors. The new centre will help us to tell the story of the National Trust's work in Cheddar Gorge, of which we own half, and the wider Somerset countryside sites that we manage from Exmoor to Glastonbury Tor."

We want to change people's perception of the National Trust; we are not just about country houses, we look after coast and countryside as well and we really want to encourage people to get out into it."

Cheddar Gorge is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and one of the region's top rock climbing centres.

Rolls-Royce, the global power systems company, announced today it has won an order from Air Transat for extended TotalCare® services and Trent 700EP (Enhanced Performance) engine kits, which are designed to improve efficiency and environmental performance.

The new seven year extended TotalCare services contract covers five Trent 700-powered Airbus A330s, four of which were covered under previous TotalCare arrangements. The new EP kits will be incorporated into the airline's Trent 700 engines over the next two years.

WASHINGTON -- Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX), and Lockheed Martin Corp. (NYSE:LMT) will compete jointly for the contract to replace the U.S. Air Force's fleet of combat search and rescue helicopters.

The two companies signed a teaming agreement formalizing their intent to offer an advanced version of Sikorsky's UH-60M BLACK HAWK helicopter for the Air Force's HH-60 Personnel Recovery Recapitalization program (HH-60 Recap). The agreement positions Sikorsky as prime contractor, with Lockheed Martin as the major subsystems supplier.

The HH-60 Recap program seeks to replace the 112 existing HH-60G PAVE HAWK™ helicopter fleet with an equal number of new aircraft requiring minimum airframe modification or mission systems development. The initial operational capability of eight aircraft — four trainers and four mission-ready aircraft, plus test aircraft — is expected in fiscal year 2015.

'Our team has the resources and experience to rapidly deliver the proven UH-60M airframe design with mature situational awareness sensors and mission systems,' said Scott Starrett, president of Sikorsky Military Systems. 'We believe a UH-60M aircraft missionized for the complexities of the combat search and rescue mission will fit seamlessly into established Air Force training and logistics operations, thus providing a fiscally responsible and reliable platform for rescue operations.'

Sikorsky submitted a response to the U.S. Air Force's HH-60 Recap request for information on April 23. The document details how the UH-60M helicopter would be manufactured and integrated as a low-risk, off-the-shelf solution for the combat search and rescue mission.

Operational with the U.S. Army (including as a medevac helicopter in the HH-60M configuration), the UH-60M features a strengthened airframe, wider rotor blades and more powerful engines than earlier-design BLACK HAWK helicopters. Sikorsky has delivered 200 'M' model helicopters to the U.S. Army since 2005.

Lockheed Martin has provided integrated avionics and mission systems for other H-60 aircraft, including U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force special operations helicopters, and Air Force combat rescue helicopters. Sikorsky and Lockheed Martin also have a well established working relationship over 38 years, delivering more than 400 SH-60B and MH-60R/S mission-ready aircraft to the U.S. Navy.

CHENGDU, Sichuan - Rockwell Collins and China Electronics Technology Avionics Co. Ltd (CETCA) have signed a letter of intent with Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd. (COMAC) to provide communication and navigation solutions for its new C919 family of single-aisle aircraft. A signing ceremony took place to commemorate the agreement in Chengdu, Sichuan.

Rockwell Collins and CETCA also have signed a memorandum of agreement to establish a China-based joint venture, which is expected to sign the formal supply agreement with COMAC by the end of this year.

Rockwell Collins has a long history of work with the Chinese aviation industry and its suppliers. The company's equipment is installed in many airplanes manufactured in China (ARJ21, MA60/600, Y8, Y12, K8, and H425), and is on nearly every Western airliner operated by China's airlines.

Governor of Sichuan Province Jiang Jufeng extended a warm welcome to the new joint venture anticipated to be established in Chengdu, Sichuan. He anticipates this venture may help to stimulate the economy in the province.
